What is new at Polytech?
With ever changing client needs, economic climate, technology and
global issues, Polytech is ever ready to provide economically viable
and technically feasible solutions to the our clients. The following
lists some of the notable projects that are at various stages:
Top Stories
- CNG Fueling Stations Design
Polytech has been retained by a confidential client to design
and assist in construction its compressed natural gas (CNG)
Fueling stations in North America as well as overseas. These CNG
stations will be open to the public for fueling passenger and
commercial vehicles.
- PV Solar System Design
Polytech has been retained by a confidential client to design
and assist in construction its photovoltaic solar power
generation stations. The various PV power stations will generate
power from 25 KW to 5 MW. Utility grid tie-ins will be at 240VAC
single phase thru 69 kV three phase transmission lines.
- Natural Gas fired Power Generation -CHP
- Polytech is negotiating a 15 MW design/build combined heat
and power (CHP)natural Gas fired power station with a
prospective client. Project will be built in association with a
large construction firm. Projected savings in energy and demand
charges, coupled with heat energy to be used for heating,
air-conditioning and refrigeration, will amortize the capital
cost if few years.
- Liquid Natural Gas stations (LNG)
Polytech has entered into an R & D program with a confidential
client to develop skid mounted LNG conversion stations. These
stations will be used to collect, scrub, clean, liquefy and
store natural gas in liquid form (LNG) thus reducing the volume
to approx 1/600 of natural gas at STP. These skids will be used
to collect and pump LNG to over the road tankers to transport
LNG from remote Natural Gas wells where no Gas pipelines exist.
- Power from wood waste
Polytech has entered into a wood waste recycling program with a
confidential client to engineer, build and commission a wood
chip processing pilot plant through the producer gas route. The
wood waste will be converted to produce gas that will run a
spark ignited engine generator. Polytech will engineer a CHP
system where power will be tied to the utility grid and
generated heat energy will be used for HVAC and process
application.
